Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the NameAnvil website (jobzkd.com) handles and the choices you have. In short: there are no accounts, the generator runs on your device, and we use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they use.

Information we handle

Messages you send us

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and your message. The contact form on this site opens your own email app. It does not send anything to our servers, so we only get a message once you send it from your email app.

Data stored on your device

The generator saves your last-used settings and any names you choose to save in your browser’s local storage. This lets them be there next time you visit. The data stays on your device and is not sent to us. Our Cookies Policy lists exactly what is stored.

Usage data (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service from Google, to see how the site is used. It sets cookies in your browser and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location (city or country level), device and browser type, screen size, how you arrived at the site, and how long you stayed. Google also receives your IP address for this purpose. We use these reports in aggregate to fix problems and improve the tool. The names you generate, save or type into the generator are not sent to Google Analytics by our code. Google processes this data under its own Privacy Policy, and you can learn how it uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Technical data from our host

Like most websites, the service that hosts this site may keep server logs. These can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you requested, and the date and time. We use this to keep the site secure and working. We do not use it to build profiles of individual visitors.

What we do not do

• We do not ask you to create an account.
• We do not send the names you generate or save to any server.
• We do not sell or rent personal information.
• We do not currently show ads, and we do not use the analytics data to identify you personally.

How we use information

We use messages to reply to you and to improve the tool, for example by fixing a word list when someone reports a bad name. We use technical logs to keep the site secure and to fix problems. We may also use information when the law requires it.

Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting provider and Google (for analytics), and when we must by law or to protect the site and its users. Hosting providers act on our behalf. Google handles analytics data under its own terms and privacy policy.

Advertising in the future

We may add advertising later to help cover the cost of running the site. If we do, we will update this policy and the Cookies Policy before the change goes live, and we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.

How long we keep information

We keep emails for as long as needed to answer you and deal with any follow-up, then delete them. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account (Google’s default is 2 months, and it can be set up to 14 months). Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period under its own settings. Local storage data stays on your device until you clear it.

Your choices and rights

You can stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, by blocking cookies in your browser, or by turning on a tracking-protection or “Do Not Track” feature in a browser or extension that blocks analytics. You can clear saved names and settings at any time by clearing site data for jobzkd.com in your browser. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold, to correct or delete it, to object to certain uses, or to withdraw consent. Because we hold very little data, most requests are simple. Email contact@jobzkd.com and tell us what you need.

Children’s privacy

Many Minecraft players are young, and this tool is open to everyone. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the age set by local law. The site has no sign-up and no forms that store data. If a child has emailed us, a parent or guardian can contact us and we will delete the message.

Security

We serve the site over HTTPS and keep it simple, with no accounts or stored user data to protect. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Links to other sites

This site links to external sites such as minecraft.net. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies.

International visitors

Our host and Google may process technical logs and analytics data in countries other than your own, including the United States. By using the site you understand that this may happen.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will say so on this page.
